Swim lessons
Connor took swim lessons for the past 1 1/2 months and really enjoyed being in the water. As you can see he really didn't care to much about the swimming part he just enjoyed splashing around and watching all the other kids.

Connor Walking
By popular demand here is a video of Connor showing off his walking skills. Over the past 2 weeks or so he has really started walking a lot and without the encouragement of me or Ryan. It is so funny now to look up and see him walking across the room with one of his toys. In a few weeks I will probably be complaining about how all he does is run away from me! Oh well, at least I will be getting my workout! Enjoy!

The Wick Family "Big Orange" Picture
IT'S FOOTBALL TIME IN TENNESSEE!!! Whew, taking a picture of a one year old and a dog is not easy! We could not get both of them to sit still and simultaneously look at the camera so this is the best of all that were taken. It was much easier last year when Connor was not mobile but they still turned out pretty cute! Please notice in the second picture down that my sweet little baby boy is picking his nose! Yes folks, that is his favorite thing to do now and he has progressed to having a finger up each nostril at the same time! Such a boy...I wonder where he learned that from?!?!

It's about time...
Ok, so after looking back and realizing that I haven't blogged in over 4 months I realize that I officially suck at keeping up with any form of communication! In my defense it has been a crazy summer for us but still 4 months is not good. So, I am not even going to attempt to update the past 4 months in pictures but will post them to our MobileMe gallery (www.gallery.me.com/rcwick) if anyone wants to go look. Now, for the update on our family:
As most of you know, we moved to Newport News, VA this summer. We are LOVING it here! Our house is awesome and the area is even better. There is so much to do here it is unbelievable. Of course, it has been a little too hot to get out much but we did manage a few little trips and are really looking forward to the wonderful fall weather so that we can get out and sight-see! Our new squadron family is great and Ryan is really enjoying flying the Raptor. It has been a pretty easy transition for him and there are actually a lot more former Viper guys than either one of us thought there would be so that is pretty cool! I am still enjoying staying at home with Connor and have decided to tackle the CPA exam one last time. I actually started my review course today (which is of course why I am blogging...good start!) and will hopefully be done by springtime next year...wish me luck!
Connor is 16 months old now and has turned into quite an active little man! He is constantly into anything and everything and definitely keeps me on my toes! He is getting closer to walking but continues to be stubborn in the fact that if he doesn't feel like even trying he won't. This kid is the most willful child I have ever met. It makes me really worried for the teenage years! He started swim lessons last week and really enjoyed being in the water. He pretty much wanted to drink the water when he was supposed to be blowing bubbles but I think eventually he will catch on. He is starting to get a few more teeth...he officially has 5 right now but I see where a few more are getting ready to pop through. We'll see how long those take to come in though :) His hair gets more curly by the day and it is officially out of control. As much as I hate to admit it, I think it may be time for a haircut but I am going to put it off as long as I can. He has so many little friends here between the squadron, church and the gym and he loves getting to play with them all. It's so nice for him to have that interaction with other kids his age and I am hoping that one of them will encourage him to walk! I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!!
Ok, that is the update. I will post some recent pics of Connor and try to be better at keeping the blog updated!
