Snow Day!!!

Yes, snow in SC! I can't believe after being in TN for 3 months just waiting for a big snow and getting NOTHING I come home and a week later we have snow on the ground. Granted, it wasn't much and it was gone by noon but it was enough to put Connor in his snowsuit and stick him in the snow. So, here are the pics and let me just say that he looks like Ralphie's little brother on "A Christmas Story" in his cute little snowsuit. He really didn't like being bundled up and he definitely didn't like the cold snow but it made for some pretty cute pics :)

8 months old and counting!

Connor was 8 months old on the 17th of this month...where has the time gone?!?! He is such a little man now and is doing so many fun things but he is still saving a few things for daddy when he gets home. He hasn't started crawling yet (one of the things that he is saving for daddy!) but he can roll wherever he wants to go and he has been getting up on his knees and rocking back and forth. Honestly, I am in no hurry for him to start crawling. He keeps me so busy with just his rolling I really am not sure I am prepared for the actual crawling! He eats great and sleeps like a prince...no complaints in either department from me. He has a little gloworm that he sleeps with and once he figured out how to make it light up and play music I have had a few 3:00 AM serenades :) It is pretty funny now looking back on it but not so much at the time! Anything that I put on his tray at meal time he can pick up and put in his mouth. Also, he has learned how to spit out his food so we are currently battling that out. This kid is learning what "no" means at an early age...I am tired of wearing green beans and sweet potatoes on my clothes! We are also introducing the sippy cup but right now he sees it as a fun toy and not so much a cup. He STILL hasn't gotten a single tooth (that is the other thing he is waiting on Ryan for). I have started to worry a little that maybe I didn't drink enough milk during my pregnancy but many people have told me that it is completely normal. I just would have bet money that he would have a handful of teeth by now. Oh well, I guess he will get them eventually (I hope!). He continues to be such a happy baby and babbles all the time. He still says "mama" and sometimes he will say "dada" but those are the only words that I can pick out right now. Other than that our days our consumed by playing with toys, bouncing in the bouncey seat, eating and sleeping. Nothing too crazy here! We expect Ryan home by the end of the weekend so I know that he is going to be so surprised by what our kid is doing now. Connor gets so excited anytime I talk about daddy so I know that he will be glad to have him home too. Here are a few recent pics of Connor:

I jumped on the bandwagon...

and started reading the Twilight series! That was 1 1/2 weeks ago and now I sit here having read all 4 books (and watched the movie too!) and wishing that there were more. Yes, they are that good! After numerous people telling me that I should read them I decided, why not? I must say that I am a sucker for any kind of love story but these books by far were just amazing. I could not put them down! I did nothing except read and take care of Connor. Poor kid, I don't think I have been much fun for him lately. So, my suggestion to anyone who hasn't read them yet...read them! But, like Kelly said, be sure you have nothing else going on in your life because you will not be able to stop. Also, since my original plan was for this series to be my distraction for this month I am open to suggestions of other books to read. Otherwise, these next 3 weeks will just creep by and I will not be able to stop thinking about Twilight.
