Our weekend with the Youngs!

Last weekend we packed up and went to Niceville, FL to hang out with Cortney, Jason and Meatball. It had been way too long since the Wicks and the Youngs hung out and we had the best time! We can't wait to go back! On Saturday morning we went out on Jason and Cortney's boat and went wakeboarding and saw tons of dolphins and then that afternoon we hit the outlets and then went out for dinner at Baytowne Wharf. So fun! Here are a few pics from our weekend...

Airshow

We took Connor to his first airshow today and he had a great time (for the most part!). Tyndall held it's annual airshow with the Blue Angels this weekend but we only went today since it rained the rest of the days. We got there in time to walk around and look at all the static displays before the F-22 demo and the Blue Angels. Connor enjoyed seeing the planes fly and he even waved and clapped for them EXCEPT when they took him by surprise and were VERY loud. We had a few meltdowns but for the most part he thoroughly enjoyed the day. Here are a few pics from the day and let me just say that he either has a future as a fighter pilot or a ladies man...or maybe both!

Dining Out

On February 27th Ryan's squadron had a dining out at the O'Club. I think that was the first time since Ryan's F-16 graduation that we had been that dressed up! It was a little bittersweet since that was our last Shooter event and we had to say goodbye to everyone but we had a great time despite that fact and are looking forward to the next time we get to see our friends again! Here are a few pics from that night and let me just say that it was pouring rain that day and 100% humidity so my hair looks awful!

Ryan's Fini-Flight

On February 20th Ryan had his last flight as a Shooter and his last flight in the F-16. The guys made sure that he wouldn't forget his time in the squadron and in the jet by hanging him from the missile rail so that I could hose him down! It was pretty funny watching all the guys wrestle him down and duct tape him to the rail and don't let the pictures deceive you...it was freezing that day! Poor Ryan! I enjoyed every minute of it and I am sure that his revenge on me will come one day soon :) Here are some of the pics from that day...

Update!

Sorry that it has been so long since I have updated our blog. We have been in a transition phase for the past couple weeks and have finally settled in Panama City, FL at Tyndall AFB until end of June for Ryan's F-22 training. So far, everything is going well and we are all liking the area and especially the weather (except for the past 2 days when we had tornado warnings!). Connor is growing up so fast...I just don't know where my little baby went. He is 10 months old now and finally got a tooth with another on the way and is crawling everywhere. He keeps me very busy but I love it! He is always happy and smiling but is quickly learning what he needs to do to get his way (i.e. whining). He has decided that he no longer wants to eat baby food which makes it a pleasure to feed him. Usually Ryan, Gracie or I end up coming out of the meals wearing the food, although I must say Gracie is thoroughly enjoying this phase. So, we are working with finger foods now which is good but hard since he really only has 1 tooth that is actually in. It really doesn't seem to be slowing him down though so we just give him foods that he can mash with his gums. Just this week he really started using a sippy cup and he loves it. He gets so excited when he sees it and is actually drinking out of it now instead of just playing with it (even though there is still a lot of that going on too). That is pretty much all that is new for now. We are looking forward to spending the next few months on the beach and our move to Virginia in July. I will upload some new pics of Connor soon when I can locate the camera cord...I know it is in a box around here somewhere!

Welcome Home Ryan!!!

Ryan finally came home from the desert last Saturday! Connor, Gracie and I were so excited for him to finally be home and we have been so grateful all this week to be a family again! Here is a slideshow of some of the pics from the homecoming. Enjoy!
